These are highly palatable feeds for feeding to sows and their piglets. Feeding the Sow & Weaner range ensures good milk production, resulting in well grown, healthy pigs.
This is available in two forms to suit all feeding regimes and they both contain 16% protein.
For Sows in pregnancy feed 2.5-3kg per day (depending on weather/environment and condition of sow).
For Sows in lactation, after 3 days gradually increas by 0.5kg per day to a maximum of 10-12kg (based on 10 piglets in the litter).
Weaning to service (usually 3-5 days after weaning) - feed 3.5kg per day.
For Piglets weaned at 8 weeks, allow access to Farmgate Sow & Weaner from about 3 weeks of age to ensure they are eating compound feed before weaning.
Farmgate Pig Grower Pellets
This is a highly nutritious Grower diet designed to provide the pig with the optimum balance of nutrients for health and efficient growth.
Feed ad-lib to pigs from 8 weeks of age. Pigs should be changed from Farmgate Sow & Weaner over a 3 day period until fully acclimatised to the Farmgate Pig Grower in order to prevent any growth checks.
For grower pigs, feed ad-lib from 8-12/14 weeks.
Farmgate Pig Finisher Pellets
This is a specialist feeding pellet designed to provide optimal balance of nutrients, to optimise lean meat production.
Feed to appetite to a maximum of 2.5kg per day per pig. Do this from 12/14 weeks to slaughter.
All of the feed should be stored in a cool, dry place. Always keep utensil and hoppers clean. Fresh clean water should be available at all times.
